A day/week in the life of holidays

Greetings to all. The photos posted show something  of  what has been happening this week. One week of the holidays is over during which time the S1's have had a morning programme at school, others have had chores which they have done very well and there have also been the holiday programme of activities.
On Wednesday Marilyn and I took Matthew, Owen, and Timothy into Kampala to spend the money they earned with the PLE results. It was interesting to see how they spent it. Most of it went on food and drink as you would expect. We also took Christine and had her eyes tested for glasses. She has a stigmatism so now has glasses to correct this which she got today. We hope it will make a difference for her at school.
On Thursday we took a group of 26 children down the road to African Village for a swim. We were so lucky with the weather, it was gloriously sunny all the time we were there. The day before and the day after were both overcast with some spells of rain but we had a day 'out of the box'. A good time was had by all. Thursday was also Dorah's 12th birthday, she has been in NACMU for a year now, so of course there was cake and a party after supper. We slept well that night.
On Friday we had the group that went swimming here for a DVD. We saw 'The Next Karate Kid', which was enjoyed by all. It was good to have something that appealed to all ages, we can recommend it.
Today it has been good seeing the sorts of things the children have been doing. Matthew organised some skater races for the children at the home on the new skaters that have just come. Ezra, Owen, and Joshua helped Aunty Prossy cook chapatis to go with tonight's chicken noodle soup, Timothy made custard to go with pudding tonight so all-in-all it has been a full day.
Nearly time for bed, so till next time
God Bless
Marilyn & Warwick
