At last

Wow, after three days of trying we have, at last, been able to post some photos. The internet remains a major problem here, it is so intermittent, unreliable and extremely frustrating!! We realise that there are three main 'comforts' we have come to rely on. Firstly there is electricity, then there is water, and finally there is the internet. We are waiting for the day when we have all three, all day.
We have had a busy time including a break away at Jinja for much needed rest before the school holidays, then the holidays were upon us. The children have been kept busy with 'duties' three mornings a week for an hour and a half, and another good holiday programme organised by Aunty Reny. We have three more days to go and are hoping for fine weather on Thursday so they can all go swimming. The weather here is quite unseasonal, it is supposed to be the dry season but we are getting some rain on most days, makes it hard to get the washing dry.
We are training a new Aunty (Caroline) with a view to her taking over either our home or to be involved in starting the next home which is nearing completion. Things are really moving here with the construction of many projects. Since last writing we have had no fewer than five new babies arrive, each with their own 'story', we had three in one week. It is a joy to be able to dedicate these children to God in church.
We have had many visitors here in the last month, the second 'Livingstone' team from Holland returned home 10 days ago and a team from Promontory Community Church in Canada  arrived last Monday. This team brought with them, among other things, an amazing amount of sportswear which we will be able to use with the school, it is very much appreciated. They also provided money for the Bibles which our Sunday School has. It makes us realise how global the community is here. We farewelled Claudia after seven months here as she returned to Holland to continue her studies, we will miss her and the work she did with the children at the school. We were 'reminded' that we should visit Holland as there are many people there whom we have met here, who knows - maybe one day.
We have two weddings occurring on Saturday, both of teachers, one service will be here and the other outside, but the reception for both will be here so we will have a busy day. Ragna, a German girl who lived with us for a while in NZ, is doing an internship in Kampala for 12 weeks and is coming to visit in the weekend too. She has been here for one weekend and it has been good being able to catch up with her again. Please pray for all that is happening at NACMU, it is a particularly busy time but pray especially for baby Britta, five days old as we write. Her mother died in childbirth, her father has four other young children, so she is being cared for here for however long it is needed. She has been diagnosed with meningitis so really needs our prayers.
That's about all I can think of at the moment, I'd better post this before the internet disconnects again.
So until next time
God Bless

So Timothy and Owen cooked all the sausages inside. Potatoes went into the oven.
