Three in one day

Greetings, the holidays are over and the primary school went back today. The S1's have this week as their holiday so we still have three to keep occupied. It has been a very busy time with Paul's birthday, monitoring chores around the compound in the mornings, fishing, boating in 'Titanic 2', a games evening, outing to an airfield and the Snake Park with all the Primary children (all 62 of them), a disco, and a cookout. Whew!!!
We have had many visitors over this time, Uncle Christian, two Livingstone teams (who stayed in the family unit next door. It was interesting to realize what you can hear from next door at night, and indeed realize that they can hear our noise too). Also there were four families who stayed at different times so the compound has been very busy and full, but it has been good.
Rhode is continuing to bring us joy though the word No! or no no no no no features more and more in her vocabulary now. We have started bringing a wee friend down to spend time here too. Tessa has been here several times and it is good for them to play together. Today we brought Demaris (who is nearly three who has cerebral palsy) down and it was lovely to see the way Rhode was playing with and helping her.
However, none of this has to do with the title of this blog 'Three in one Day'. Today we have had three babies arrive. Firstly at 1:30 am Piet and Pita got a call from the police, they had rescued a baby boy from being sacrificed and needed a safe haven for him. His name is Titus and he is about 8 months old and we are looking after him tonight, he is sleeping in our room as I write. He seems a happy, well cared for boy. This afternoon they were called again, a baby boy had just been born and the mother had died, the father was in Rwanda and may yet come for the boy but he needed to be cared for in the meantime, he is named Abner. While they were there the police had another boy who had been abandoned last night and taken to the police today. He is probably about a year old, again well cared for and needed a place to be cared for, he is named Matthius. I must admit I have lost track of how many children this gives NACMU, but please pray for the well being of them all. We have a big bout of illness- 22 children at present. Renske spends a full hour distributing medicine in the home with so many children unwell, so please pray for the medication to do its work and for all to get better. Pray also for protection for the aunties and the rest of the children.
Well that's about all for now
Till next time God Bless
