The first picture shows progress on the third family unit with foundations laid. There is a team from Holland here at the moment who are helping with the building.
The second photo shows Marilyn on the veranda outside our unit in Jinja. We got away for 3 nights, spent two at this hotel (but it was a bit pricey for us) and a third night at Kingfisher Safari resort. We went to Jinja because of the bombings in Kampala where we intended to go but decided not to. Things seem to be quite stable here though security is quite tight around shopping malls etc.
The next photo shows the view we had from our veranda overlooking the Nile.
We had a very relaxing few days and felt quite refreshed when we returned home. Aunty Marjorine looked after the boys while we were away so it was especially good that we didn't put extra strain on any of the other missionaries.
The last photo is of......Raghma. She is such a delight at present. She is quite mobile crawling/swimming over the floor and loves standing on her feet as you can see in this picture. She now has two teeth and loves her solids (porridge, biscuits, yoghurt ), she is now just over 6kg at nine months of age but is filling out nicely.
We had our first day of someone to come and help with the cleaning today, no ironing for me tonight. Yeah!!
