An anniversary

Greetings to you all, we don't know where time goes and another two weeks has passed since we last wrote. I can say that we are restored to full health, in fact if I were any more healthy I'd be dangerous !! We have settled back into term time routines which has enabled us to spend more time at school. Marilyn has started teaching music to four classes which she is enjoying. The children here love their music and generally have good sense of rhythm (a six letter word without a vowel, can you find a longer word without a vowel?) and love singing.
We have a team from Springbank Church in Canada here at present and they have been having fun with the kids as well as doing some great work in constructing the Vocational Secondary School in preparation for next year. Over the next few months we have many teams coming for short-term visits. We always enjoy these as we get to know new people from all over the world. Our neighbourhood is very much a construction site at present as there has been a lot of progress on the third family unit next door to us. It has been good seeing the work done and it is good that we are not here during the day all the time because of the noise.
Yesterday was an anniversary day for us. It was two years ago that we came to NACMU and we really feel blessed to be here. We have had such an exciting, challenging, enjoyable, demanding, and rewarding two years that we thank God for bringing us here. We often look back on our lives before we came and realise that so many of the things we had done prepared us for the tasks we do here. Nothing has been wasted. As we say in Uganda...... GOD IS GOOD,  ALL THE TIME.
We are going for a break for three nights to Jinja from tomorrow as we have a 59th birthday to celebrate (quietly) and need a chance to rest and relax. Please pray for Aunty Anett who is coming to look after the boys for the first time. Please also pray for Piet who has been struggling with his health for too long now and also for Pita that she can get sufficient rest. We have two new newborn twin girls, Rose and Fleur, who require regular feeding throughout the night, Rose especially has been struggling somewhat but now seems to be coping better. There is still a lot of illness amongst the children and the Aunties, the weather probably has a lot to do with it. The rains have continued longer than usual and there can be great variations in the temperature during the day.
Well, that's about all for now, until next time,
God Bless
