Oh dear, I must still be doing something wrong as the pictures refuse to be uploaded, sorry about that.
But to continue about our return.
Our welcome back to Uganda has included no fewer than 15 power cuts (five of them during an attempt to watch a DVD), a loss of water for 12 hours and difficulties with the internet....... but this is Uganda (a shower was really good last night!). We were struck by the warmth of the weather (27 degrees on arrival) and most pleasant sunny weather all week...............
Until Saturday, the first day of the boys being home for 4 weeks holiday. It was a full day of rain, showers in the morning but really heavy teeming rain all afternoon. In the afternoon we had no fewer than 18 children here interacting well with activities and games. It was a really neat feeling. We have had many of the girls visit since we have been home and Marilyn is starting four of them on keyboard lessons and they all love helping out in the kitchen.
Sunday was fine and we were able to get the washing dry and enjoyed taking Sunday School in the morning.
In the afternoon at church we had the dedication of baby Chloe who is Ram and Ronald's wee baby girl. Ronald is the manager of NACMU and Ram has been responsible for the running of the home so they are both special people here. They have three boys so having a wee baby girl is special to them. We were also welcomed back by the church which was nice.
Today, Monday, we had Alex & Simon come which was good catching up with them, and I began to regain my energy. I had a cold when we left NZ and it has taken till today to feel somewhat better.
Sorry there are no photos this time, I hope I haven't rambled on for too long
Until next time
God bless
